The project entailed the functional renovation of a large rural court on the hills between Verona and Garda Lake.  In the transformation of the stables into apartments, the project underlined the pre-existing contrast between solid and empty spaces.  Through a contemporary design, avoiding any kind of mimicry, wood was used in order to create a link with the ancient structure.  In the manor’s renovation, which dates back to 1400, the project favoured the strengthening and the enhancement of existing structures and of the use of materials from local traditions.
